As a Personal Training Manager (PTM), you will lead and grow our high‑volume personal training teams, ensuring top‑notch service and strong member relationships. Reporting to the Fitness Manager and working closely with the Sr. Director of PT Experience, you’ll coach trainers, support their development, and create a positive environment that drives client satisfaction, retention, and results.
Responsibilities- Own and manage day‑to‑day operations of the personal training staff.
- Partner with the Fitness Manager to manage the PT business.
- Drive the team to meet or exceed all PT targets each month.
- Lead high‑value orientation sessions that maximize new client acquisition and increase overall PT penetration.
- Identify and operationalize opportunities to grow the PT department.
- Improve the PT experience to drive revenue growth and client retention.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end trainer lifecycle: sourcing, hiring, onboarding, in‑club training, development, and ongoing performance management.
- Conduct regular individual and team coaching sessions.
- Minimize trainer turnover and increase tenure through coaching and support.
- At least one year as an EōS personal trainer (internal) or at least one year of verifiable managerial experience (external).
- At or equivalent to an L2 or Master Coach level as an EōS personal trainer.
- Enthusiastic about developing teams through education and coaching.
- Accountable for achieving performance goals and company KPIs.
- Excellent communicator with high emotional intelligence.
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and initiative‑taker who meets deadlines.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must carry a valid Personal Training Certification.
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work in a gym setting, move around club, communicate with employees, members, and the public.
- Ability to bend routinely and repetitively to lift more than 40 lbs.
- Ability to access and operate company computer systems, including preparing documents, entering data into computer systems, and reading reports from a computer database or email system.
- Competitive base salary + bonus opportunity.
- Ability to train 5 paid client session hours per week.
California Pay Range: $68,640—$100,000 USD.
