Job Responsibilities
  • Plans and formulates NPI engineering programs within area of assigned responsibility.
  • Implements and reviews shell build, castings, Heat Treat, and NDT processes for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications.
  • Supports activities concerned with technical development, customer issues, cost reduction programs and in resolving engineering design and test problems.
  • Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases.
  • Prepares interim and completion project report, as necessary.
  • Provides technical support for manufacturing area of assignment.
  • Interfaces with production personnel regarding all processing requirements; interacts with suppliers and customers on technical issues.
  • Performs process quality investigations, as required.
  • Develops and implements process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Translates customer requirements into usable work instructions and interfaces with customer on technical issues.
  • Reviews purchase orders, specifications and blueprints for impact.
  • Assembles data packages for customer approval.
  • Specifies processing and generates work instructions.
  • Actively pursues elimination of waste, the improvement of equipment reliability and efficiency, and the reduction of operating costs; employs statistical methods as necessary.
  • Continuously improves the performance of job‑related responsibilities.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position entails access to export‑controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant’s ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial.
  • Experience working in a Casting environment.
  • Previous internship or co‑op experience in a manufacturing environment or lab environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
  • Able to work in a self‑directed or team environment and have good organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and scientific methods for problem solving.
