Medical Assistant – Cardiology Department at Clinics of North Texas

Full‑time position (Mon‑Fri 8:00 am–5:00 pm; extended hours possible).

• Collect and prepare medical records for patient care, coding and reimbursement activities, physician chart completion, and permanent record storage and retrieval.
• Ensure timely retrieval and processing of medical record documentation to maintain completeness, accuracy, compliance with regulations, state and federal guidelines, and HIPAA standards.
• Review and edit tickets for appropriate insurance information.
• Chart prepare incoming information from fax, scanned provider notes, internal and external patient information, upcoming appointments, and new patient records for preloading into the electronic medical record following departmental guidelines.
• Maintain open communication with physicians, staff, and supervisors to complete or resolve all issues.

• Computer proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.
• Detail oriented, self‑starter.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Works with minimal supervision.
• Current Medical Assistant certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Cardiology experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
