Job Summary:
Diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and adjusts key systems and components of On-Highway Trucks and related equipment. The incumbent is expected to model the following practices daily:
1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core values;
2) Collaborate with key resources;
3) Participate in ongoing self-development.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses engine malfunctions with supervision
- Performs engine and equipment repairs on trucks and trailers with supervision
- Uses computers and software for diagnosing and reprogramming engines
- Completes documentation for service reports, parts requisitions, and returns
- Interprets information from manuals, online resources, and service bulletins
- Operates equipment with proper licenses and certificates
- Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT regulations
- Maintains equipment, tools, and vehicles in good condition
- Communicates progress to supervisor and customers as needed
- Works overtime as required
- Projects professionalism and maintains personal appearance
- Completes all required training and safety courses
- Works safely and complies with all policies and standards
- Requires punctual attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Efficient disassembly, inspection, and reassembly skills
- Knowledge of equipment, tools, and maintenance
- Proficiency with diagnostic software and electronic systems
- Operation skills of trucks and trailers
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to operate forklifts, hand tools, and other equipment
- Ability to operate trucks on public roads
- Fine motor skills and ability to read and understand technical information
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical schooling preferred
- Minimum 3 years of on-highway truck service experience
- CDL - Class A or B preferred
- ASE certification preferred

Travel- Limited travel or overnight stays expected
- Travel to other stores during heavy workloads may be required
