Industrial Electrician

Overview

Shermco Industries is seeking an Industrial Electrician.

Responsibilities

* Install, commission, and maintain power, instrumentation, process controls, and, SCADA equipment

* Perform routine and emergency maintenance on power, instrumentation, and control systems.

* Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting of power and control systems.

* Coordinate repair, testing, and installation of power and control systems.

* Mechanical and Electrical installations.

* Rigid, EMT, PVC coated rigid conduit.

* Service, feeders, and branch circuits.

* Controls, fiber, and network cabling.

* Stainless tubing and instrumentation.

* Service equipment, MCC, panel boards

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications to qualify for consideration, you must meet one of the following minimum qualifications and requirements:

* Master Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, or Apprentice Electrician is a plus but not a requirement.

* Field experience in the industrial field with power and control systems.

* Understanding of electrical schematics and controls.

* Self motivated individual - able to work independently with minimal supervision.

* Team oriented, flexible and willing to assist in other technical disciplines.

* Hand and power tool capabilities.

* Willingness to be hands-on and work in the field alongside our engineers and field technicians.

* Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English via verbal and written methods and be comfortable and effective doing so directly to customers and co-workers.

Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, drive regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations

Should be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam when required
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
· Must have a valid driver's license, and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.
· If applying for position, must be eligible to work in the U.S. without need for employer sponsored visa (work permit). Must be willing to travel. Pay Range

USD $35.00 - USD $42.00 /Yr.
