Berry Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting & ERP Integration

- Support the accounting team in Berry’s ERP system upgrade project.
- Lead efforts related to financial system integration, including requirements gathering, user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and process documentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the successful implementation of accounting-related ERP functionality.
- Participate in strategic initiatives involving organizational change and data transformation, with a focus on improving accounting processes, automation, and efficiency.
- Perform and support month-end close activities, including the preparation, review, and posting of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting policies and deadlines.
- Partner closely with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver insightful financial reports that explain financial performance, leveraging data from the newly implemented system.
- Support the consolidation, reconciliation, and validation of financial reporting across legacy and new ERP systems during the transition period, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accurate financial results throughout the changeover.
- Provide backup support to the accounting team as needed, contributing to a flexible and responsive work environment.
- 4 year Business Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years experience
- Data transformation and project management experience
- Capable of building and maintaining effective and trusting relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience working with and protecting confidential employee information
