GENERAL SUMMARY
Candidate will provide high quality customer service while assisting in the coordination of services between the client and the insurance company. Responsible for providing a broad variety of administrative and staff support services for the Service Team. May collect and interpret data to produce reports; conduct special projects; coordinate meetings, conferences, presentations, and travel arrangements; and compose correspondence and other documentation as needed.
Performs claim intake, reports, and follow-up. Frequently uses PC software packages for word processing, graphics, spread sheets, printing certificates of insurance, etc. Specific job duties vary by area/assignment.
- Performs a broad variety of administrative duties and staff support services for an assigned group or manager.
- Directly responsible for managing clients’ and Account Executive’s requests for preparing, processing, and coordinating certificates of insurance, and auto .
- Assists with preparation and processing drafts of insurance binders, Summaries of Insurance, audits, endorsements, renewal information request forms, insurance specifications, and proposals, etc.
- Responsible for helping to ensure that policies follow coverages as quoted, proposed, and bound.
- Responds to routine requests for data and questions from clients and underwriters.
- Responsible for new client setup and ongoing client maintenance in Applied/Epic, agency management software.
- Helps to prepare invoices, obtain premium finance quotes, processes routine endorsements and policy changes, and premium allocations, as needed/instructed.
- Collects and analyzes data, maintains records and databases, and prepares specialized reports using a variety of PC based software.
- Processes a variety of confidential information and documents.
- Organizes filing systems, answers phones, photocopies document, prepares correspondence and documents, and processes incoming and outgoing mail.
- Will collect and interpret data to produce reports; conduct special projects, coordinate meetings, conferences, presentations, and travel arrangements.
- Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned.
A general description of the minimum qualifications required are outlined below:
- Position requires direct communication with clients; therefore, strong oral and written communication skills, with a proven commitment to high quality customer service, are mandatory.
- Well-developed PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and graphics software.
- Must have familiarity and good working knowledge of various Microsoft software applications, Agency Management Systems, and the ability to learn new software systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a proactive approach to meeting service requirements and adherence to deadlines.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to evaluate and prioritize multiple projects/tasks to maximize the number of internal and external clients that can be assisted while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data.
- Ability to work in a team environment that is constantly changing.
- College degree preferred.
- Kansas Property & Casualty Insurance Broker License is required (if not presently licensed, candidate must be able to obtain license within first three (3) months of hire.)
