Job Summary:

Talent Software Services is in search of a Supply Planner for a contract position in Wichita, KS. The opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

This role is responsible for planning day-to-day Packaged Truck deliveries for the Salt business unit.

• Carrier utilization and scheduling, cost and service reporting and communication with external and internal stakeholders.
• Works with Sales and Supply Chain groups to understand requirements and make best value delivery decisions to support client's customer requirements.
• Supports the sourcing strategy by tendering and managing orders in SAP with tiered carrier rankings.
• Responsible for day-to-day management of orders from an assigned set of plants and public warehouses.
• Includes building loads, monitoring of unrouted orders, coordinating ship and delivery dates, handling customer add-ons and broken or changed loads and logging and approving carrier invoiced costs.

• Typical requirements include a degree in logistics, transportation, business or a related field and or more years of experience or years of experience.
