Responsibilities
  • Solid background in building/civil construction science, business, and management, as well as related work experience within the construction industry.
  • Ability to understand contracts, plans, and specifications.
  • Knowledgeable about construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with computers and software programs for job costing, scheduling, and estimating is increasingly important.
  • Supervision of on-site personnel and sub-contractors.
  • Experience as a construction craft worker.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Construction Science Management or similar discipline, or substantial related work experience in commercial building or civil construction.
  • Relevant and proven work related experience related to the craft.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead personnel and sub-contractors to successful and profitable completion of the project.
  • Knowledgeable in construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Familiar with computers and software related to the industry.
  • Adaptable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Able to communicate in an effective manner in an oral or written manner.
