Job Description

Reporting to the Associate Dean of Pre-Clinical Professional Education and Experience s, this role will provide instruction specifically in Clinical Skills for the Physicianship Track.

Specific Responsibilities Teaching (100%)
  • Works with Department Chair to provide hands‑on student training in history and physical assessment, diagnostic testing, and procedural skills.
  • Assists in monitoring the progress of all students to ensure successful progress toward graduation and recommend disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Teaches in assigned courses.
  • Assist in student testing, re‑testing and remediation as necessary.
  • Develop clinical scenarios for standardized patient education assessment/evaluation and simulation education/assessment.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

N/A

Qualifications
  • Health professional with the following degrees: DO, MD, Paramedic, APN, PA.
  • Clinical experience providing direct patient care in their specialty.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be detailed oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and the desire and ability to learn course management software/distance learning technologies.
  • Please provide examples of accomplishments, skills, and publications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in precepting Osteopathic medical students in a clinical setting.
  • Experience as an instructor in an clinical skills course or CME course.
  • Point of Care Ultrasound as well as experience with Simulation.
