Job StoryWe are seeking a dedicated and student-focused College Access Advisor to support members of the Class of 2025 as they transition from high school to college. This position plays a key role in helping first-year college students persist and thrive by providing individualized guidance, mentorship, and access to essential college success resources.
Job SummaryResponsible for the enrollment, monitoring and/or advising of eligible participants. Establishes and maintains a positive and professional relationship with all referral agencies. Plans educational, career and life skills activities, completes the College Access Plan (CAP) on each student and coordinates with College Access Mentors or other partners to ensure services are provided.
Job Duties- Build and maintain relationships with a caseload of college students through regular communication via email, text, and phone.
- Guide students in developing and completing Individual Success Plans (ISPs) that set clear academic, personal, and career goals.
- Provide timely information and resources on scholarships, financial aid, and academic support services.
- Connect students with appropriate campus resources at their respective colleges (e.g., tutoring, counseling, advising, student life).
- Offer mentorship and encouragement to promote college persistence, well-being, and goal achievement.
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records of outreach and support activities.
Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, social services or related field

Required ExperienceOne (1) year of experience in academic advising or related field
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in college access, student success, or working with high school and/or college students.
- Knowledge of scholarship search tools, financial aid processes, and campus support systems.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and comfort with multi-platform outreach (email, text, phone).
- Empathetic, organized, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining consistent communication.

Physical RequirementsAbility to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
