Scripture clearly teaches that parents are responsible for their children’s education and discipline. The school is not a substitute for the home. Rather, it is an extension of the home and one means through which parents may fulfill the responsibility for education given by the Lord. Trinity Academy affirms that the Bible is authoritative, reliable, and the final source of truth.

Education can be most effectively accomplished in an environment that recognizes that all truth is God’s truth, and the fear of the Lord is the foundation of all wisdom and knowledge. Therefore, within the school curriculum there exists an emphasis on the unity of all truth and on the development of an eternal perspective on life.

Position Summary

The Bible Department Chair& Bible Teacher at Trinity Academy provides spiritual and academicleadership by ensuring excellence, alignment, and theological integrity withinthe Bible department. This dual-role position advances Trinity Academy’s missionby shepherding students and supporting faculty, overseeing biblicalinstruction, and cultivating a Christ-centered culture that integrates faithand learning across the academic and extracurricular life of the school.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual leadershipconsistent with Trinity Academy’s mission, core values, and statement offaith
• Serve as a visible and trustedspiritual presence on campus, fostering a culture of Christlike character and biblical worldview
• Model a growing personalrelationship with Jesus Christ in conduct, teaching, and relationships
• Encourage students towardbiblical understanding, faith maturity, and Christlike character
• Assist in spiritual lifeinterviews for prospective faculty as part of Trinity Academy’s hiring process
• Teach the Life of Christ Biblecourse at the secondary level
• Assist with the implementation and continued development of Trinity Academy’s Senior Capstone course
• Lead curriculum development andreview to ensure vertical and horizontal alignment across grades 6–12
• Ensure biblical instructionaligns with Trinity Academy’s theological commitments, academic standards,and educational philosophy
• Recommend, evaluate, and support the adoption of Bible curriculum resources, texts, and instructional materials

Faculty Leadership & Development

• Lead Bible department meetings,collaborative planning, and curriculum alignment efforts
• Mentor, coach, and support Biblefaculty through observation, feedback, and professional development
• Assist administration with thehiring, onboarding, and evaluation of Bible teachers
• Promote instructional excellence,unity, and theological consistency within the Bible department

Assessment & Accreditation Support

• Develop and oversee assessmentpractices for Bible courses
• Support accreditation processes(e.g.,
  ACSI ) related to biblical instruction and spiritualformation
• Maintain documentation related tocurriculum, student outcomes, and departmental goals

Community & Family Engagement

• Clearly articulate Trinity Academy’s Bible curriculum and spiritual formation goals to prospectiveand current families
• Represent Trinity Academy atcommunity, church, and ministry events as appropriate

Qualifications

Required

• A clear, personal profession offaith in Jesus Christ and evidence of a growing relationship with Him
• Agreement with and commitment to Trinity Academy’s statement of faith and mission
• Bachelor’s degree in Theology,Biblical Studies, Ministry, Education, or a related field
• Experience in Christianeducation, pastoral ministry, or secondary teaching
• Demonstrated leadership abilityin both spiritual and organizational contexts

Preferred

• Master’s degree in Theology,Ministry, Biblical Studies, or Education
• Ordination or formal ministrycredentialing
• Experience in a large Christianschool or comparable ministry context
• Previous department chair, team leadership, or supervisory experience
