Job StoryEnnovar is looking for a student assistant to work at Intergra Technologies as an Environmental Engineer.
Job SummaryA student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties- Assist in the development of test programs for electronic components and design test hardware.
- Build test hardware from design schematics.
- Perform test program and test hardware setups for ongoing production as an introduction to component-level test engineering.
- Evaluate/analyze failing test setup components to optimize production throughput.
- Record test results, make computations, and analyze results.
- Devise and run tests to ensure product quality.
- Coordinate with engineering, customer service, production, and shipping departments to implement fulfillment of customers’ needs.
- Follow Quality Documentation Manual procedures to operate the ATE and handling equipment.
- Verify device counts, inspect the device and lead integrity, and read and interpret project-specific instructions.
- Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent
Additional RequirementsHas basic technical aptitude and demonstrates the ability to learn fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a technical field of specialization. Has basic introductory engineering ability and skills. Able to follow detailed instructions and apply basic principles, theories, and concepts learned to a job situation. Has the ability to apply an organized approach in completing assigned tasks. Works to complete tasks on the required/requested schedule.
Knows when to seek help in task execution to meet requirements. Can work on problems utilizing detailed instructions and/or under the close observation of an Integra Engineer. Work assignments are limited in scope and complexity, with the ability over time to take on tasks of increasing complexity. Follows standard practices and procedures as instructed. Seeks guidance as needed to complete assigned tasks.
Suggests solutions to assigned problems/tasks. Has continual contact with supervisor or designated leader to report project/work status. Has limited interaction with other departments, with a developing ability to work with others in completing assigned tasks. Willing to present own ideas to designated leader. Demonstrates good, effective teamwork. Developing positive relationships with the designated leader and peers. Actively participates in team discussions.
Takes initiative to learn the technical basics behind assigned tasks. Demonstrates the drive to influence others as technical experience expands. Takes on task assignments with a positive "can-do" attitude. Receives detailed instructions on all work assignments. Demonstrates a steady increase in understanding of established procedures and their associated technical reasons. Performs routine assigned tasks under supervision.
Completion of 0 – 2 years of an Engineering Degree program requirements, with the following experience and abilities:
Has taken Circuits I Course. Effectively and efficiently utilize Microsoft Office and other computer products and programs. Utilize effective communication skills to achieve required results. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Anticipate and resolve complex, non-routine problems. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Ability to use time management skills to handle multiple priorities in a timely manner.
This position requires the successful completion of a drug screen before being allowed on-site at Integra Technologies.
Physical RequirementsAbility to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment, including but not limited to phones, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
