Job Title: Drafter

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our team and assist in the creation of technical drawings and documentation to support the product development and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have expertise in using CATIA V5, Theorem plugin, DISCUS, and be able to generate 2D and 3D drawings, 3D PDFs, bubble drawings, and in-process inspection drawings.

Create 2D Drawings from 3D Models using CATIA V5:

• Transform 3D models into detailed 2D engineering drawings.
• Ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards and company specifications.

Generate 3D PDFs using Theorem Plugin for CATIA V5:

• Utilize the Theorem plugin to create 3D PDF documents for sharing and collaboration.
• Ensure 3D PDFs accurately represent the design and are easily accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Assist with Creating Bubble Drawings Utilizing DISCUS:

• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to generate bubble drawings for product inspection and quality control.
• Ensure bubble drawings are clear, comprehensive, and in compliance with industry and company requirements.
• Use Geovius software to create 3D PDFs.

Create In Process Inspection Drawings:

• Develop detailed in-process inspection drawings to guide manufacturing and quality control processes.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure the drawings align with production requirements.
• Develop in-process inspection sheets for Machinists.

Assist with First Article Inspection (FAI) Preparation:

• As time allows, support the FAI process by assisting in the preparation of documentation and inspection plans.
• Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to ensure FAI compliance.

• Proficiency in CATIA V5 and experience in creating 2D drawings from 3D models.
• Familiarity with Theorem plugin for CATIA V5 and the ability to generate 3D PDFs.
• Knowledge of DISCUS software for creating bubble drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in technical drawings.
• Understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Time management skills to meet project deadlines and priorities.
• Previous experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) preparation is a plus.

• A degree in engineering, drafting, or comparable experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly CATIA V5.
• Previous experience in a drafting role in a manufacturing or engineering environment is a plus.
