The Atlas Group, a growing business that has long been part of the Wichita community, is looking for engineering students to join our team as Co‑Op employees. This position is responsible for evaluating manufacturing, delivery, customer experience, or other systems and identifying ways to improve productivity, effectiveness and quality.
Responsibilities- Evaluate manufacturing, delivery, customer experience, or other systems and identify ways to improve productivity, effectiveness and quality.
- Collect data on processes and production through observations, discussions with employees, hands‑on participation, etc.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Design processes, systems, or enhancements to maximize productivity, efficiency, or space.
- Work on established projects that drive improvement—cost, space utilization, etc.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement recommendations for improving quality, productivity, performance and space utilization.
- Present analysis and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate containment of suspect non‑conformance material in stock and WIP and document results.
- Interpret instructions from different people to develop charts and graphs.
- Provide real‑time shop‑floor support for quality investigations.
- Participate in established projects to drive product quality, cost reduction, and space efficiency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Power Query (plus).
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (plus).
- Experience collecting data and creating graphs in many forms.
- Familiarity with GD&T, MS Office, and MRP/ERP systems.
- Ability to participate on cross‑functional improvement teams.
- Detail‑oriented with meticulous work habits.
- Team‑oriented communication skills.

Education & Experience- Must have completed sophomore year within a program of study.
- Must be willing to work 20–30 hours per week.
- Proof of citizenship.
