This role is at Spirit Aero Systems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirits Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Position Responsibilities:
Facilities, Equipment & Reliability Engineering. Facilities, Equipment & Reliability Engineering interns support the systems and assets that keep a large aerospace manufacturing site operating safely and reliably. Interns may work with building systems, manufacturing equipment, utilities, preventive/predictive maintenance, reliability data, equipment modifications, and capital or maintenance projects. Work may include identifying failure trends, developing reliability improvements, and supporting engineering solutions for new or existing equipment.
Potential internship assignments may include:
- Analyze equipment performance, failures, downtime, and reliability trends
- Develop preventive/predictive maintenance and reliability improvements
- Support equipment specifications, modifications, installation, and validation
- Assist with building systems, utilities, infrastructure, and facilities engineering projects

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate or graduate ABET-accredited engineering program
- Ability to work full-time during Summer 2027
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Passion for the aerospace industry and interest and enthusiasm for a career at Boeing
- Academic excellence (GPA of 3.0 or higher)
- Previous related internship or work experience and/or involvement with student or civic organizations
- Majoring in one of the following:
