Estimating Assistant– Aerospace Manufacturing

Syndeo Staffing has a direct hire opening for an experienced Manufacturing Estimator. Our client manufactures machined parts in the aerospace industry and is looking for someone well versed in engineering processes in product development, cost estimating, and supporting business development. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proficient in leading multiple projects from scope of development, detailed design, labor cost estimating, and transition of jobs onto the production floor to ensure successful production
• Communication and coordination of all pertinent manufacturing documentation to the production floor in a timely and accurate manner.
• Coordination with sales, purchasing, and finance leaders on product costing and competitiveness.
• Work directly with customers to resolve engineering challenges
• Review customer engineering changes
• Assist operations in the selection of projects on which to bid
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with owners, consultants, subs and suppliers
• Assist and/or lead in proposal preparation and presentation.
• Assist and/or leading design-build projects and cost/risk analysis
• Keep Quote Log up to date with pertinent data and track quote due dates

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business, engineering, or finance or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years machining industry experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of contracts, cost management, estimating strategies in the aerospace or manufacturing Industry
