We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Wesley Medical Center as a Paramedic in the Emergency Department on a PRN basis.

• Establish IV access as delegated by an RN.
• Provide assistance with patient care, transportation of patients, specimens and supplies; clean and stock the department, patient rooms and transport ambulance; and other duties as assigned.
• Perform intra‑facility transport.
• Perform assigned tasks and activities according to skill level and patient needs as assessed by the RN.
• Support nursing personnel in providing care to patients and assist with providing a safe, quiet, clean, organized environment for healthcare delivery.
• Answer telephone and intercom efficiently and courteously, relaying messages and calls to appropriate personnel and other departments as needed.
• Maintain records, transcribe physician orders, and ensure orders are carried out in an expeditious manner.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Current certification and licensure as a Paramedic per state requirements.
• High school diploma.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a field paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital—current clinical competency must be demonstrated and additional education/training may be required.
• Ability to routinely multi‑task in a busy, stressful, fast‑paced environment and take appropriate action.
• Current certification/licensure as EMSA or EMTA per state requirements.
