The Director of Pharmacy leads hospital pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance, managing staff, and driving quality improvement initiatives. This full-time role supports patient safety and collaborates with medical teams to enhance patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily hospital pharmacy operations and clinical services
- Lead, mentor, and develop pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, policies, and medication safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, hospital leadership, and other healthcare professionals
- Manage pharmacy staffing, inventory, budgeting, and operational resources
- Develop and implement quality improvement and medication safety initiatives
- Participate in interdisciplinary committees and support organizational goals
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused pharmacy environment
- Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
- Current and active Kansas Pharmacist License or eligibility for Kansas licensure
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience required
- Additional pharmacy certifications are a plus
Skills:
- PharmD preferred
- 3-5 years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience within a hospital pharmacy setting is strongly preferred
You hold an active Kansas pharmacist license and ACPE degree. You have 3-5 years leading hospital pharmacy teams. You excel at compliance, budgeting, and medication safety initiatives
