Koch Technology is looking for a Senior Network Engineer
. The Senior Network Engineer will be part of a Global Network Engineering team delivering networking solutions for Koch Industries. Their focus is on Operational Excellence in transport hub, load balancer, and routing & switching areas.

The Senior Network Engineer will report to the Network Engineering Supervisor of KT and will be part of the global team. The engineer will be primarily responsible for the data center (core routing) and part of the Network Engineering team that strives to build an efficient DC network to support Cisco Engineering and business functions, driving growth in our data center network infrastructure while investing in new cutting‑edge technologies to meet client requirements.

We are open to candidates based in Wichita, KS, Atlanta, GA, or Plano, TX. This role is onsite with flexibility as needed.

• Work in a large-scale networking environment under minimal supervision performing tasks per predefined documented procedures.
• Establish a networking environment by crafting network configuration, advising and executing DC network infrastructure, defining, detailing, and enforcing standards.
• Ensure assigned network engineering projects are delivered on time, on budget against agreed scope.
• Design plans as well as lead initiatives for optimization and restructuring of the data center and network connections.
• Responsible for end‑to‑end quality delivery of assigned network projects ensuring adherence to network engineering standards and subsequent handover to operations team.
• Produce methods of procedures that demonstrate understanding of changes proposed and how the change will be executed with minimal service impact.
• Identify end‑of‑life/end‑of‑support network devices in the data center and propose appropriate replacement devices by preparing Bill of Material.
• Demonstrate strong working experience in a data center or telecommunications field.
• Work with Cisco TAC or other third‑party vendors for escalation as needed.
• Interface with customers to assist in resolving issues, communicate resolution status, and deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Identify process gaps or areas for improvement in delivery efficiencies and recommend/implement solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and business unit leadership in developing project objectives and timelines.
• Engage in opportunities to expand existing skillset to increase knowledge and reduce learning curves.
• Experience in provisioning and activating data center network circuits and working with the provider to resolve issues.

• 8+ years of relevant industry experience in data center core enterprise routing.
• Proficient in core networking protocols such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS, with experience managing multi‑vendor WAN environments and multi‑protocol routing.
• Advanced, hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise routing protocols, with strong emphasis on BGP and OSPF in large‑scale environments.
• Extensive expertise in BGP, encompassing route policy design, traffic engineering, route redistribution, filtering, and troubleshooting within multi‑homed and multi‑vendor environments.
• Proven ability to resolve complex routing issues involving BGP and OSPF in enterprise data center and WAN environments.
• Demonstrated ability to apply advanced concepts of underlay (physical network) and overlay (virtual network) routing in enterprise environments.
• Proven expertise with advanced routing concepts such as VRF, VRF‑based routing and inter‑VRF communication within enterprise environments.
• Expertise in solution design, systems thinking, integration, and cross‑disciplinary workflows.
• Demonstrated experience managing and delivering complex enterprise network infrastructure projects end‑to‑end.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Experience with network automation and orchestration tools such as Python, Ansible, and Git, including workflow automation and version control.
