Wichita State University's Financial Services team is seeking talented professionals who brings together technology expertise and financial knowledge to support critical universityoperations.

In this role, you'll work at the intersection of finance,technology, research administration, and customer service. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across campus to support enterprise financial systems, improve business processes, develop reporting solutions, and implement technology enhancements that directly impact faculty, staff, and researchers. You'll participate in strategic initiatives focused on modernization, automation, service excellence, and continuous improvement while helping shape thefuture of financial operations at Wichita State University.

This position offers the opportunity to work with a diversetechnology portfolio including Banner Finance, Touch Net, reporting tools, research administration systems, and other enterprise applications.

Provides analysis and support of software and processes within the assigned functional area which may include, but is not limited toconfiguration, testing, documentation, support, maintenance and training for solutions, and working closely with business users,leaders, and technical users throughout the lifecycle of a systemand/or project.

Provides development, analysis and support for systems. Works closely with business users and managers to refine, develop and prioritize business goals and process enhancements. Provides system support, including implementation, testing, training, new releases,and vendor coordination. Works closely with business users and managers to understand, refine and prioritize business goals and information needs. Manages and supports applications, including support, upgrades and troubleshooting May provide support forinterfaces.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of Accounts Receivable,Accounting, and Research Accounting business processes, financial transactions, internal controls, and reporting requirements toserve as a trusted business systems partner.
• Collaborate with functional users to analyze business needs,troubleshoot complex system and data issues, identify root causes,and recommend solutions that align with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and university business processes.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Financial Servicesstakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into functional specifications and ensuring successful implementation of system enhancements and process improvements.
• Gather reporting requirements from business users and develop,test, and validate SQL queries to support operational, financial, compliance, and management reporting needs.
• Act as the subject matter expert for financial data structure sand reporting logic, partnering with the Cognos reporting team todesign, test, validate, and deploy accurate and meaningful reports and dashboards.
• Support enterprise financial applications through system testing, upgrades, integrations, documentation, training, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency,standardization, data integrity, and customer service.

• 60 hours of college coursework in related field
• Two (2) years of experience in technology application supportor related field

• Ability to analyze business processes, identify issues, and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial transactions, andERP systems such as Banner or similar enterprise applications.
