Systems Engineer, Cloud Computing: Infrastructure & Operations, IT Infrastructure
Insight Global is looking for an IT Architect to help identify, evaluate, and advance infrastructure technologies that support business objectives for our client. In this role, you will be a partner with business and technology teams to assess opportunities, explore emerging solutions, and recommend practical approaches that balance business value, risk, and operational needs. This person should have a strong infrastructure/systems engineering background and expertise across VMware, compute, storage, networking, cloud and endpoint management.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys learning new technologies, evaluating their potential impact, and influencing decisions across a variety of infrastructure domains. You'll work closely with stakeholders to help shape infrastructure direction while supporting both near‑term initiatives and long‑term technology planning. This position is an in‑office full time role in Wichita, KS, Tulsa, OK, Houston, TX, or Scottsdale, AZ.
and Requirements
- 8+ years in infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, infrastructure architecture, or IT architecture
- Deep experience across multiple infrastructure domains (VMware, compute, storage, networking, cloud, endpoint management, security)
- Experience evaluating and implementing new technologies, not just supporting existing environments
- Experience architecting solutions in a cloud environment (AWS or Azure)
- Ability to communicate technical recommendations to executives, business stakeholders, and engineering teams
- Experience building roadmaps, conducting technology assessments, and influencing direction
