UI/UX Designer — Website & Digital Experience

Genesis Health Clubs | Wichita, Kansas

Reports to:

Vice President of Marketing

About the Role

Genesis Health Clubs is looking for a UI/UX Designer to keep our website current, easy to use, and optimized to turn visitors into leads and members.

Supporting more than 90 clubs, this role combines design, hands-on website management, and conversion optimization. You’ll help people find the right club, explore amenities, request a guest pass, schedule a tour, and join—with a seamless experience across desktop and mobile.

You’ll also lead Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), helping make Genesis content clear, useful, and discoverable through search engines and AI-powered answers.

What You’ll Do Website Design & Management
  • Own day-to-day website updates, including club pages, amenities, promotions, schedules, images, and landing pages.
  • Design intuitive navigation, page layouts, forms, and calls to action.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready designs.
  • Maintain consistent branding and reusable design standards across the website.
  • Work with marketing, IT, and developers to implement improvements and resolve issues.
  • Check pages, links, forms, and mobile layouts regularly for accuracy and usability.
User Experience & Conversion Optimization
  • Improve the paths visitors take to find a club, request information, claim a pass, book a tour, or join.
  • Identify and reduce friction in forms and membership journeys.
  • Use analytics, user feedback, heatmaps, and testing to guide design decisions.
  • Build and optimize campaign landing pages.
  • Monitor website speed, mobile usability, and accessibility, partnering with developers on technical fixes.
AEO & SEO
  • Structure content to answer questions prospective members ask about memberships, amenities, fitness, and local clubs.
  • Develop helpful FAQs, clear headings, internal links, and location-specific content.
  • Partner with developers to implement and validate appropriate structured data and address crawlability and indexing issues.
  • Collaborate with content and marketing teams to improve information accuracy, relevance, and search visibility.
  • Monitor search performance and emerging AI discovery opportunities, using findings to prioritize improvements.
Measurement & Collaboration
  • Track landing page performance, form completion, conversion rates, and engagement.
  • Partner with digital marketing and IT to verify conversion tracking and lead-form functionality.
  • Share concise reports on improvements, results, and next priorities.
  • Manage incoming website requests and prioritize work that supports lead generation and membership growth.
What You Bring
  • Three or more years of experience in UI/UX design, website management, or a closely related role.
  • A portfolio showing live websites, landing pages, and the thinking behind your design decisions.
  • Proficiency in Figma or a comparable design and prototyping tool.
  • Hands-on experience publishing and maintaining pages in a content management system.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers.
  • Experience with responsive design, accessibility, SEO, and conversion optimization.
  • Understanding of AEO and how clear content, technical accessibility, and structured information support discovery.
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and user behavior tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • A practical, proactive approach—you can identify an issue, recommend a solution, and help get it implemented.
Bonus Experience
  • Multi-location websites, local SEO, or fitness and hospitality brands.
  • Membership, ecommerce, or other online enrollment experiences.
  • Hub Spot, CRM-connected forms, and marketing automation integrations.
  • A/B testing and technical website audits.
