Machine Operator Production - Pepsi Co - Evenings
PBNA $22.60 / hour
Position operates one or multiple pieces of manufacturing equipment, including moving raw material handling to the production line, filling, capping, sealing, labeling, or packaging product. It also removes damaged products or supplies as needed and is responsible for production, package, and flavor changeovers. The role requires maintaining required product inspection processes and performing basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to keep production equipment running efficiently.
Position requires lifting, carrying, and pushing or pulling cases weighing 20–45 pounds repeatedly over a long work period. The worker will be walking or standing most of the shift and may need to stoop, crawl, or crouch over and under conveyors. The job may require work on weekends and/or holidays.
Primary Accountabilities- Operate and monitor production line(s) to ensure efficiency
- Remove or shift materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper flow
- Ensure package and product quality
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Operate all manufacturing equipment (including new technologies) efficiently and safely
- Clean equipment and area before, during, and after shift
- Maintain clean work area through good housekeeping practices
- Expedite repairs to line, working with maintenance as necessary
- Keep daily records of downtime and machine operations
- Work well with others in a team-oriented atmosphere
- Maintain regular, reliable, predictable attendance
- 18 years or older
- Experience with high‑speed production lines
- Experience with pallets (e.g., operating a forklift, stacking/bundling product)
- Experience operating a packing machine
- Experience operating a filler machine
- Experience operating a palletizer
- Experience reading blueprints
- Experience reading schedules
- Experience with computers in a manufacturing setting
- Experience with sanitization (GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES in a food plant)
- Experience with minor mechanical repairs
- Experience with preventative maintenance
