This Machine Operator will operate one or more of various production machines. Machines operated may include drills, saws, press-brakes, punches, shears, hi-definition and plasma table, etc. As a cross-functional team member of this division he or she may also assemble components and perform other duties as assigned. As a Machine Operator, you are integral in supporting Red Guard's goal of delivering customers a quality product on time.
Responsibilities- Manages and operates production equipment while monitoring the performance of the machine and carrying out operations in proper sequence.
- Assembles fixtures, mount parts in fixtures/components, and perform mechanical assembly using hand and air tools (wrenches, torque wrenches, impact wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.).
- Maintains inventory, and routing of parts and maintain production records.
- Follows established safety and security rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area and environment.
- 6-12 months of previous machine operations experience with Shears, Press-Brakes, Plasma Table, Bandsaws, etc.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and product specifications.
- Basic math skills with ability to read tape measure, squares, and other tools specific for job task.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

- Lifting up to 50 pounds and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work involves standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, and twisting of body parts throughout the day.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing a computer terminal; reading blueprints; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and fabrication/welding of parts at distances close to the eyes. The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
- The worker is exposed to adverse environmental conditions, such as hot and cold climates, dusty, and noisy areas.
- Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
