Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist with a strong experience in machine setup and operation. This role requires an individual who can work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision, utilizing their expertise to produce high-quality work.

• Set up and operate CNC mills using Fanuc Controls.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, ensuring precision in all tasks.
• Utilize and maintain height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
• Perform setup and operation of Mill Turn lathes with live milling tooling and twin spindles.
• Manage a two-machine cell efficiently, ensuring optimal operation.
• Ensure all work meets the required specifications and standards.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.
• Proficiency in using Fanuc Controls.
• Strong understanding of G Codes and M Codes.
• Experience with 3 Axis Mills, including Kia and Doosan machines.
• Ability to perform precise setups and operations independently.

• Experience with Mill Turn background is required.
• Must provide own tools, including 6” calipers, 0-1 inch mic, dial indicator, edge finder, wrenches, dead blow hammer, and Allen wrenches.

The shop is a smaller, climate-controlled environment with around 50 employees, fostering a family-oriented culture. Employees are expected to work collaboratively and support one another. The work hours for the 1st shift are from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with opportunities for overtime by starting earlier or working on Saturdays from 7 am to noon. The dress code requires wearing jeans, a T-shirt, and steel-toed shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Wichita, KS.
