Diesel Equipment Test Technician Job Description
We are seeking Test Technician to support our program on the first shift (8am-5pm). The role involves setting up tests, installing sensors, calibrating instrumentation, and working on machines in a shop environment. The technicians will assist our test engineers in ensuring the reliability and durability of new concept machines, primarily skid steers and compact track loaders.
ResponsibilitiesSet up tests on machines, including installing strain gauges and routing wires.
Calibrate and install sensors and instrumentation on machines.
Follow engineering drawings and work orders to set up tests.
Assist in the setup of hydraulic and electrical components for testing.
Work closely with first shift engineers to ensure seamless continuation of tasks.
Utilize basic computer programs for data acquisition systems.
Experience with stress, hydraulics, electrical systems, and basic software knowledge.
Ability to work on machine testing and validation processes.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
Flexibility to work second shift and adapt to travel requirements if necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience with on-machine testing and validation.
Familiarity with data acquisition systems and instrumentation calibration.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The position is based onsite in Wichita, KS, working on new development for skid steers and compact track loaders. The role is part of a three-year program with potential for extension based on project needs. Work hours are on the first shift from 8AM to 5PM.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
