What you will be doing as a Final Avionics Technician:
In this role, you will showcase your expertise by functional testing and repairing electrical, avionics, and communication systems during the final assembly of production aircraft. Your skills will ensure the seamless integration and optimal performance of these critical systems.
Responsibilities- System Testing & Configuration:
Test and configure electrical and avionics systems using airplane orders, schematics, and engineering specs - Component Installation:
Install and remove components and wiring for systems like radios, altimeters, transponders, and weather radar - Software Loading:
Load system software and databases, configuring as required - System Adjustment & Restoration:
Use hand tools to adjust or restore systems to proper operation according to shop procedures and engineering requirements - Troubleshooting Assistance:
Guide or assist 3-5 employees in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical system issues - Quality Assurance:
Ensure the quality of your work through meticulous testing and adherence to standards
- A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level Work Keys certification is required
- 3-5 years aircraft experience including avionics troubleshooting and functional testing is required
- A knowledge of electrical and avionics principles and use of test equipment is required
- At least one year of fundamental avionics and electronics is helpful
- 401K company match + additional annual contribution equal to 4% of eligible compensation
- $3,000 annual lump sum payment eligibility per contract
- Annual cost of living adjustment up to $1,500 per contract
- Automatic increases of $0.30/hr every 3 months up to top of grade per contract
- Education assistance for undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs, compensated at the start of the semester
