Position Summary

The CNC Machinist will operate industrial devices that generate manufactured parts. Essential skills are technical knowledge, setting up, and operating a CNC machine. While maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment such as CNC machines, milling machines, and end mills to produce manufactured parts primarily out of aluminum and titanium.
  • Take measurements to adequately ensure the accurate set‑up, with the use of tools such as; gauges, calipers, indicators and micrometers.
  • Maintain specifications by observing drilling and cutting; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Set up and troubleshoot 5‑axis machines for large complex parts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Certification from an accredited technical college a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year of progressively responsible milling experience, aerospace industry is a plus.
  • Possess basic math and geometry knowledge with elementary knowledge of engineering principals helpful.
  • Be able to read blueprints, follow work order and verbal instructions.
Physical and Environmental Demands

Manufacturing environment may be exposed to noise levels, dust, grime and heat. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
