Position

Summary

The CNC Machinist operates industrial devices that generate manufactured parts. Essential skills are technical knowledge, setting up, and operating a CNC machine while maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment such as CNC machines, milling machines, and end mills to produce manufactured parts primarily out of aluminum and titanium.
  • Take measurements to ensure accurate set‑up using gauges, calipers, indicators, and micrometers.
  • Maintain specifications by observing drilling and cutting, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting controls, replacing worn tools, and adhering to quality assurance procedures.
  • Set up and troubleshoot 5‑axis machines for large complex parts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Certification from an accredited technical college a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year of progressively responsible milling experience; aerospace industry experience is a plus.
  • Basic math and geometry knowledge; elementary engineering principles helpful.
  • Ability to read blueprints, follow work orders, and verbal instructions.
Physical and Environmental Demands

Manufacturing environment may expose you to noise, dust, grime, and heat. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn.
