The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating and executing the shipment of goods, materials, and aerospace components. The role ensures that shipments meet quality standards and deadlines, while maintaining accurate inventory records and adhering to aerospace industry regulations. The position works closely with production, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials necessary to support aerospace manufacturing operations.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
- Prepare shipments for transport, including labeling, packaging, and documentation according to aerospace and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments and receipts, including data entry into inventory management systems and generation of shipping/receiving reports.
- Update inventory records to reflect received goods, monitor stock levels, and report discrepancies or shortages to the appropriate departments.
- Ensure that all outbound shipments are packed securely.
- Ensure that all shipping and receiving activities comply with aerospace industry standards, export regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate with shipping carriers to arrange pickups, resolve delivery issues, and ensure timely transport of goods.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that outgoing products meet aerospace quality standards.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies with deliveries, shipments, or inventory data.
- Follow all safety regulations, maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure proper handling of hazardous materials when applicable.
