- Ability to read and understand blueprints, mylars, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Ability to work with hand tools, brake press and hydro press machines without supervision.
- Ability to measure and verify their own workmanship prior to QA verification.
- Safely operates the brake press, hydro press, sander, buffer, bench grinder and various hand tools.
- Reads blueprints, sketches, mylars, and follows verbal instructions. Assists in receiving and storing material and supplies.
- Repairs and modifies equipment, with instructions from supervisor. Keeps workplace clean and organized.
- Documentation:
Completion of work orders; identify time and material spent on project. Performs occasional tasks outside of job description in support of the MAX Team’s mission. - Sweep floors, clean equipment and machines, take out shop garbage and recycling on a regular schedule.
- Studies blueprints, sketches, sequence of operations, and set up requirements
- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required
- Starts and observes operations to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance conditions and adjusts machine as required
- Verifies conformance or finished work-piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years knowledge of blue prints, operating brake press and hydro press.
- Previous hand forming experience is highly desirable.
