Empowered is a community of social entrepreneur teachers, bringing the experiential, individualized, self-discovery teaching methodology to life in their classrooms. Their work leads to transformative learning experiences for their students. At scale, the Empowered community is a cultural movement driving bottom-up change throughout the key institution of education.
Empowered is part of the Stand Together philanthropic community.
Stand Together helps America’s boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our country’s biggest problems, from education to the economy, broken communities, and toxic division, among dozens of other pressing issues. We provide our partners with access to resources including funding, thought leadership, a network of peers, and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society. Empowered is a key part of the community and is growing quickly.
As we expand our community, products, and national presence, we’re looking for a Director of Brand Strategy who can ensure our brand grows with us.
This isn’t a traditional marketing role; it’s an opportunity to shape how Empowered is experienced by educators, partners, donors, prospective employees, and our internal team. You’ll work across departments to connect strategy, storytelling, product launches, communications, and community engagement into one cohesive brand experience.
We’re looking for someone who sees marketing as more than promotion. Someone who shows up with curiosity, connects ideas across teams, and builds systems that help every interaction strengthen trust in the Empowered brand.
Just as importantly, we’re looking for a builder. While this position carries significant strategic responsibility, you will have a hands‑on approach in the writing, creative, problem‑solving, and launch process ensuring campaigns and projects get across the finish line. If you thrive in environments where you’re equally comfortable thinking big and rolling up your sleeves to make things happen, you’ll fit right in.
