Overview

The Telemedicine Clinical Facilitator utilizes nursing process (as defined by the American Nurses Association) and knowledge of nursing scientific principles to provide comprehensive, age-appropriate nursing care for assigned patients while remotely collaborating with provider(s) and assisting with patient assessments via telemedicine technology. This position meets the health, telemedicine and research education needs of patients/families. The incumbent evaluates telemedicine workflow processes, research methodologies, and trains additional facilitators for the safe and efficient use of telemedicine technology in an evidence-based approach.

The Telemedicine Clinical Facilitator is responsible for expert operation and recommended care of all telemedicine equipment required for patient encounters.

If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing skill and support for communication and physical requirements of both the patient/family and evaluating provider(s) to promote optimal patient outcomes while care is delivered via telemedicine technology.
  • Meets the educational needs of patient/family utilizing principles of teaching/learning.
  • Promotes safe, efficient, family-centered care.
  • Technical knowledge and assurance that all aspects of technical performance are considered, including issues of patient safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and
  • 5-7 years experience Pediatric nursing experience
  • One of the following required upon hire:
    • Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas
    • Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri
  • RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
  • Must have KS or MO multistate license within 90 days of hire
  • Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required 30 Days
