Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Stepdown position requiring a KS or compact license and AHA BLS certification.

• Work in a 30-bed general Med/Surg Stepdown Intermediate Care unit
• Level 1 trauma environment
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Candidates may only apply to one position within the health system at a time
• De-escalation training via MOAB Moderate Risk is recommended
• NIH Certification is encouraged and updated annually or biennially depending on the group
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
• Local candidates are accepted but will receive a reduced rate due to the facility's radius rule
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Driver’s License and two professional references required for consideration

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg or stepdown nursing experience required
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Nursys license verification and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to assignment
• Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address
