Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a float pool position with a KS or compact RN license and AHA BLS certification required.

• Work as a Med/Surg float pool RN in a hospital environment
• Float between Med/Surg units at a Level 1 Trauma Center, Chest Pain Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center
• May also float to secondary campus locations as needed
• Day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
• Patient population includes medical, surgical, trauma, cardiac, and stroke cases
• Responsibilities include providing nursing care across multiple Med/Surg units and adapting to various patient populations
• Team environment supporting Level 1 Trauma, cardiac, and comprehensive stroke care
• All positions require only one active application within the health system
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced pay rate according to facility radius rules
• COVID-19 vaccination is not currently required
• RNs should adhere to hospital dress code and scrub requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Nursys verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• MOAB De-Escalation Training and NIH Certification preferred
• All travelers must have a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
