Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiothoracic ICU position requiring at least 2 years of CVICU experience and a KS or compact RN license.

• Work in an 18-bed Cardiothoracic ICU within a hospital setting
• Focus on cardiac and thoracic surgical patient population
• Utilizes Cerner EMR system
• 12-hour day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
• 13-week contract assignment
• Ceil blue scrubs are required
• Provide care for post-cardiac and thoracic surgery patients in a critical care environment
• Cerner documentation experience preferred
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Local candidates are considered but at a reduced rate based on facility radius rule
• RTO (requested time off) and necessary documentation must be submitted before start
• All on-site training, including high-risk CPI/MOAB, will be completed during orientation

• Active KS or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years CVICU experience
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• CPI Blue Card Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or MOAB De-Escalation Course (online portion completed prior to start; on-site portion completed during orientation)
• Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required
• Copy of Driver's License required
• 2 professional references required
