Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Trauma ICU position requiring a KS or compact license and AHA certifications.

• Work in a 20-bed Neuro Trauma ICU within a hospital setting
• Care for neuro and trauma ICU patients
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend is required
• EMR system used is Cerner
• Responsibilities include care of neuro trauma patients in a critical care environment
• Orientation includes completion of on-site crisis management training
• Every other weekend coverage is expected
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced pay rate due to facility radius rules
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
• Must provide two separate professional references and a copy of driver’s license for consideration
• First-time travelers are accepted

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required from AHA
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Completion of CPI Blue Card Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills or MOAB De-Escalation Course required prior to start
• On-site CPI/MOAB High-Risk training to be completed during orientation
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to assignment
• Must provide a U.S. Social Security Number and U.S. home address
