Job Responsibilities
Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.
Surveillance- Implements a surveillance system for the organization
- Assess, develop, and monitor surveillance methodology
- Uses written criteria for defining infections
- Analyzes surveillance data
- Develops forms for recording data
- Determines the incidence of healthcare associated infections
- Communicates with local and state health departments regarding surveillance, outbreaks, epidemiology, and other information required for preparedness and response activities
