We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Health RN for a night-shift opening in our Senior Behavioral Health unit at a Hospital in Wichita, KS. This role focuses on the stabilization of older adult patients (age 50+) with acute psychiatric diagnoses in a 25-bed locked unit environment.

• Shift: Nights (19:00 – 07:30)
• Duration: 13-week contract
• On-Call: No

• Patient Population: Typical age range of 50 and older.
• Ratios: Maximum nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1 .
• Support Staff: Mental Health Techs are present on the unit.
• Security: The department utilizes a specialized behavioral health security team and a panic button system for staff safety.
• Technology: EHR is Cerner (Power Chart) .
• Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs.

• Provide high-quality nursing care and stabilization for geriatric patients with acute psychiatric needs.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and administer medications as prescribed.
• Monitor patient safety and coordinate with the behavioral health security team as needed.
• Ensure accurate documentation within the Cerner EHR system.

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in Behavioral Health or Geriatric Psychiatric nursing.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• License/Certifications: Active RN license (Kansas or Compact) and BLS certification.
• Skills: Proficiency in psychiatric crisis intervention and geriatric care.
