20 private

· Patient Ratios : 4:1 total patient care, 5:1 w/ a patient care tech

· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 1 tech usually 4-5 nurses on the floor

Alaris IV Pumps, CADD epidural, Alaris PC

· Scheduling requirements:
Every 3 rd weekend, two Mondays and Fridays per 4 week scheduling period

To like medical/surgical/telemetry units including ortho neuro center, med/tele, 4N, CDU Patient Experience requirements: high paced unit

Requested Skill Set:

Must have :
Med-surg experience

Advanced skills needed: understanding of post-operative care

Procedures performed on unit: Ostomy management, ostomy irrigation, NGT placement and management, Foley catheter placement and maintenance, central line management, JP drains, wound management, IV starts, blood administration, nutritional supplementation including but not limited to TPN, G/J tubes
