Aerostructure-Mechanical Inspection Supervisor
This role is part of a global inspection team assuring the quality of components and assemblies sourced by a leading aerospace company. You will be deployed through SQA’s operations center based on client need and each supplier’s production schedule.
Base pay range$35.00/hr - $40.00/hr
Responsibilities- Provides supervision, oversight and technical leadership to the inspectors on-site.
- Liaison between Boeing and SQA inspection team.
- Provide direction to inspectors to ensure quality requirements and performance goals are achieved.
- Coach, mentor and train inspection personnel to enhance their skill sets.
- Ensure aircraft structures comply with applicable drawings/specifications.
- Set a good leadership example for staff to follow, and streamline inspection methods and processes.
- Observes and verifies the accuracy and adequacy of the inspection activities and records.
- Maintains quality metrics and reports, as required, and implements appropriate preventive/corrective action to improve quality.
- Supervises the day to day activities of the quality inspection team on the inspection of materials, processes, parts, assemblies, finished parts to assure quality products.
- Provides quality expertise and training for all inspection positions in order to maintain a smooth flowing operation.
- Routinely inspects products as needed for all product lines.
- Participate in the daily Daher Supervisor meetings ensuring Quality items/issues for the scope of the work are discussed.
- Must have aero structure commodity experience.
- Must know Wing Center Section, Bulk Head Wheel Wells, Section 48, and Horizontal Stabilizers.
- Experience with aero structures / sheet metal is a must.
- Ability to understand and interpret blueprints (GD&T) and all applicable drawings.
- Experience with nonconformance investigation.
- Experience inspecting mechanical parts.
- Experience with product verification to drawing requirements.
- Strong communication and technology skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Training on 1st shift then may be moved to another shift.
