Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional for a long-term contract position based in Wichita, KS. This role focuses on ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision within our aircraft production environment.

Core Responsibilities
  • Utilize technical drawings, specialized measuring tools, and inspection manuals to accurately complete all assigned tasks.
  • Apply your background in Quality Management System protocols and procedures to daily operations.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of internal company specifications and operational guidelines.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency of the production line by applying your knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Operational Standards
  • Execute shop inspection protocols to determine the acceptance or rejection of various parts, assemblies, and processes.
  • Ensure that all equipment and tooling used are properly qualified for the job.
  • Help maintain accurate and organized quality documentation for the entire department.
  • Support team goals by assisting with tasks across various inspector job codes as the need arises.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrate the ability to secure and retain all necessary professional certifications throughout your tenure.
  • Maintain the flexibility to work across any shift, including first, second, or third operations.
  • Be prepared to support production goals during periods requiring significant overtime.
  • Bring 4 to 5 years of direct experience in the inspection of aerospace airframe assemblies.
  • Possess a strong background in interpreting complex engineering blueprints.
  • Show proficiency in using MS Office suites and SAP software.
Preferred Skills
  • Prior experience working within SAP environments.
  • Background in drafting and managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Previous professional experience within the aviation or aerospace sector.
Technical Proficiencies
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • AS9100 Quality Management Systems
  • First Article Inspection (FAI) procedures
  • Advanced Blueprint Reading
