About

The Role

As a Territory Sales Representative, you will drive growth across Kansas or Missouri or Nebraska or Iowa, developing direct relationships with municipalities and decision‑makers responsible for street, park, trail, and parking lot lighting. This is more than a sales role—you will act as a trusted advisor, market developer, and relationship builder, helping cities transition to a brighter tomorrow. Based in our Wichita area, you will work closely with internal teams and technical staff to deliver Fonroche lighting solutions across municipalities.

What You’ll Do
  • Identify & Develop Opportunities:
    Build and manage a pipeline of projects, closing deals that drive regional expansion.
  • Market Expansion & Standardization:
    Lead municipal sales efforts, positioning Fonroche as the go‑to solution for solar lighting adoption.
  • Client & Relationship Management:
    Serve as the primary contact for municipalities, ensuring long‑term engagement and repeat business.
  • Go‑to‑Market Strategy:
    Explore new sales and market development strategies to accelerate growth.
  • Product Expertise & Presentations:
    Become proficient in solar lighting principles and present the technical and cost‑saving benefits to clients.
  • CRM & Sales Reporting:
    Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and collaboration within CRM tools.
  • Travel & On‑Site Meetings:
    Regularly meet with city, county and municipal leaders in person to build strong, trust‑based partnerships.
What You Bring
  • B2B Sales Success: A proven track record in business development, consultative sales, or municipal sales.
  • Industry Knowledge (Preferred):
    Experience in public sector sales, lighting, infrastructure, or sustainable technology is a plus.
  • Exceptional Communication

    Skills:

    Ability to engage, present, and negotiate with government officials, partners, and contractors.
  • Strategic Thinking & Market Development:
    Ability to assess market trends and drive standardization efforts across regions.
  • Tech‑Savvy & Organized:
    Proficiency in CRM tools, email, and standard business systems for reporting and forecasting.
  • Resilient & Goal‑Oriented: A self‑starter with strong listening and sales skills who thrives on achieving targets.
  • Ability to Travel:
    Regular travel is required to meet with customers and develop the region effectively.
  • On‑Site Requirement:
    This role will be based in our coworking space when not traveling for client meetings.
