Installation Technician
Overview
Aircraft Interior Installer role at Yingling Aviation. This position is responsible for the installation, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft interior avionics systems and components, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and company standards.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities- Install, remove, and/or modify avionics interior systems, including cabin management systems (CMS), in-flight entertainment (IFE), lighting, switches, displays, wiring harnesses, and related components.
- Interpret and follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals, and work instructions.
- Route and terminate wiring, connectors, and components inside aircraft cabins.
- Perform functional and operational tests on interior avionics systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and airworthiness standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems during maintenance checks and after installation.
- Document all work performed in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies.
- Ensure safe work practices and cleanliness of the work area.
- Support aircraft return-to-service efforts following inspections or installations.
- Function test seats and cabinets prior to removal. Note any discrepancies as instructed.
- Fit and trim new cabinets to aircraft.
- Sheet metal work to include installation of brackets and modifications.
- Re-upholster aircraft components and re-install in aircraft.
- Follow Repair Station and ISO requirements.
- Painting of small parts
- Help with other miscellaneous interiors projects.

Education And Experience- 2-5 Years Sheet metal and aircraft interior installation experience required.
- Bombardier and Global experience preferred.
- Possess exceptional internal and external customer service skills.
- Able to work required schedule without deviation.
- Meet the requirements of Airport Authority to receive a badge and have no ramp restrictions.
Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions and/or aircraft blueprints. Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Good grammar and spelling skills.
Mathematical SkillsBasic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust have valid Class C driver's license with a good driving history.
Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Frequent periods of walking, sitting, rotation, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching. Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasional lifting up to and over 100 lbs.
Work EnvironmentFrequent exposure to general shop conditions. Frequent exposure to airborne particles and small enclosed areas (i.e. small aircraft interiors). Occasional exposure to seasonal weather.
