Work ScheduleBased on Class Schedule. Ability to work minimum of 20 hours per week.
Export Compliance RequirementThis position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies. Applicants are required to be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and must meet the requirement of being a “U.S. Citizen”.
Job SummaryA student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties- Coding and Development:
Writing and testing code for web applications using languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular. - Desktop Application Development:
Designing, developing, and maintaining desktop applications using technologies such as .NET (WPF, Win Forms), Electron. - Performance Optimization:
Enhancing the performance and responsiveness of desktop applications by implementing efficient algorithms, reducing memory usage, and optimizing UI rendering. - UI/UX Implementation:
Creating user-friendly interfaces for desktop applications, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. - Database Management:
Integrating and managing local or remote databases, such as SQL Server, SQLite, or Postgre
SQL, for desktop applications, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval. - User Testing and Feedback Integration:
Assisting in user testing to gather feedback on the application's performance, usability, and accessibility, and implementing necessary improvements.
High school diploma or equivalent
Requirements- Proficiency writing and testing code in languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
- Minimum 20 hours per week
- Ability to remain in a stationary position.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.
- Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
