Overview
Rolling Hills Country Club in Wichita, Ks. is the Birthplace of the LPGA and home of the Heritage Classic.
The Assistant Golf Professional position is responsible for managing the day-to-day golf operations. In addition, this position will be responsible for ensuring all members and guests are provided an elevated club experience.
The successful candidate will be asked to play golf with members, assist in our junior golf program, help manage outside golf operations as well as corporate events.
Experience Required- PGA Associate in progress while actively pursuing PGA membership is required.
- Minimum High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
- Minimum two years as a golf professional preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Eager to learn and grow within the golf industry.
- Serve as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees.
- Manages daily golf operations in the Golf Shop.
- Provides excellent customer service to all patrons while on property.
- Maintains a positive image while on and off property and throughout the community.
- Be a part of a team oriented culture. With an eagerness to learn and develop.
- Provides private golf instruction to both Members and guests.
- Ensures all staff is adhering to all policies and procedures while at the facility.
- Monitors and enforces adherence to all safety procedures and cleanliness of all areas within the clubhouse.
- Responsible for inventory controls, checking-in merchandise in accordance with procedures, organization of storage and display areas.
- Proper cash handling procedures as well as making sure all revenue and rounds are captured.
- Helps organize and execute member programming as well as corporate outings.
- Coordinates and communicates with other departments regarding golf activities and employee matters.
