Description:
This role is responsible for planning day to day Packaged Truck deliveries for the Salt business unit.
Responsibilities include:- Carrier utilization and scheduling, cost and service reporting and communication with external and internal stakeholders.
- Works with Sales and Supply Chain groups to understand requirements and make best value delivery decisions to support customer requirements.
- Supports the sourcing strategy by tendering and managing orders in SAP with tiered carrier rankings.
- Responsible for day-to-day management of orders from an assigned set of plants and public warehouses.
- Includes building loads, monitoring of unrouted orders, coordinating ship and delivery dates, handling customer add-ons and broken or changed loads and logging and approving carrier invoiced costs.
