The Opportunity
DCS Engineering is recruiting experienced Site Managers (Mechanical & Electrical) and Site Managers (PC Rep / General) to lead site teams on major high-voltage transmission, substation, and power infrastructure construction projects across the UK.
IMMEDIATE LIVE REQUIREMENTWe have an urgent long-term role (70+ weeks) starting immediately in Highlands / North of Scotland:
ScopeM&E background with an Electrical qualification, Temporary Works, SMSTS, and CSCS.
We are also hiring for several upcoming major infrastructure projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate supervisors, sub-contractors, and work teams on behalf of the Senior Site Manager / Project Manager.
- Drive site work ensuring project milestones are met to Time, Quality, and QEHS standards.
- Enforce site Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality plans.
- Manage multi-party work teams to ensure safe and efficient progress across complex substation environments.
Education / Experience:
Apprentice-trained / NVQ Level 3 with 3+ years' supervisor/management experience, OR Degree-qualified with 2+ years' supervisor experience on ESI (Electricity Supply Industry) or heavy industrial construction sites (Substations, Power Generation, Oil & Gas).
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- CSCS Card / CCNSG Safety Passport
- IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH
- Temporary Works coordinator/supervisor experience
- Manual Handling, Working at Height, Fire Safety Awareness, First Aid
- SSE / Scottish Power / National Grid Person (BESC)
- National Grid Competent Person (NSI6 / NSI8)
- Experience on SPEN or SSE transmission networks
