£47,438 - £62,758 per annum (2025/26 Rates)

Applications are invited for this post in Geriatric Medicine. This post is to support the care of patients on our assessment and rehabilitation ward. This 24 bedded ward is a unique combination of general, stroke, and orthogeriatric rehabilitation, with specialist rehabilitation for those with paraplegia or amputations who wish to have rehabilitation close to home. We are a small 45 bed hospital providing care to a population of 35,000 in a remote area.

As a small team, we aim to provide continuity of care for people living with frailty and recurrent admissions, and to build long-term relationships with patients and their families throughout their journey with frailty.

The postholder will also assist with front door frailty assessment and review of adults with longer predicted length of stay in the admissions ward. You will have the opportunity to develop clinical skills aligned with geriatric medicine and to practice them regularly. In addition to clinical management, we expect you to develop other roles in the department, such as quality improvement or teaching.

Applicants must have full GMC registration with a licence to practice and at least two years full-time postgraduate training (or equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis), or equivalent experience and competencies.
